My Favorite Sunset Spots on O’ahu

My Favorite Sunset Spots on O’ahu

There is something about an enchanting sunset that brings so much peace and serenity for me at the end of a day. Whether it is a great day, a hectic day, everything seems to go wrong kind of day, making sure I catch a sunset somewhere on island is the one thing that brings me back to the moment, where I can just sit back and escape the external stresses or worries from the day. If you know me, my photos are always scattered with gorgeous sunsets that I am so fortunate to be able to enjoy here in Hawai’i. It is hard to resist the temptation of an alluring sunset in an exotic paradise that locals here take the time to appreciate.

I always encourage people to watch a sunset somewhere. There are idyllic sunsets all over the world, but there is something so sublime about a sunset in Hawai’i unlike anywhere else. Almost unreal, like you would only think a tropical paradise such as this would only exist in a dream. Living the island life here, all you got to do is wake up, and here are some of my most near and dear favorite spots to watch a sunset on O’ahu.

1. Magic Island, Ala Moana Beach Park

2. Walking around Duke Kahanamoku Beach and Lagoon at the Hilton Hawaiian Village

3. Fort DeRussy Beach Park

4. Right outside the Outrigger Reef Hotel on the Beach

5. Walking Around Queen Kapi’olani Beach

6. Sans Souci and Kaimana Beach

7. Makalei Beach

8. Cromwell’s Beach

9. Spitting Cave

10. China Walls

11. Mount Tantalus

12. Kaneohe Sandbar

13. Castle Beach

14. Sharks Cove

15. Leftovers Beach

16. Haleiwa

17. Makaha Beach
